Judging by the amount of Otaku in Korean districts at the moments, there will probably be more people using Asian characters than actual Asians playing the game. Not to mention the inconveniance of having to guest invite someone using such a name. Yes I'm aware of the use of copy+paste the name on to a template, but it's still an inconveniance because some little kid is ashamed of his European/American heritage. However, I have no issues with the use of numbers in names (even if we will be seeing alot of '<Insert name here> is 1337') which Asians can use.

When your running FoW you really don't have enough time to spell check. By the way people like you guys really destroy the whole "our community is friendly" this forum is just like Word of Watercraft full of people that cant get their anger out and real life and decide to be a B**** online

and btw english not being your first language doesnt jsutify that you write and like ans( and a whole load of other mistakes) due to the fact that you didnt even bother rereading what your wrote.

And i wont sign this because it will be very difficult to invite people to guilds or add them to flists. Since every damn idiot will run around with at least one asian character in their name.

It's quite literally impossible to add a spammer to ignore when they have foreign characters in their name, since we can't type them. Personally I think they should be banned PERIOD for ALL DISTRICTS to shut down the aforementioned spammers.

(Do Not Disturb or Offline are not valid reasons to allow it; they prevent us from communicating with people on our friends list or people we're trying to trade with.)

I don't think you should be giving advice on other peoples' english skills. Not just because what you just wrote is an incoherent mess, but because some people have reasons behind their poor english, such as it not being their first language.

Load of crap imo. I have plenty of Korean friends with full korean character names and I have no problem chatting/adding to friends list/inviting to guilds and parties.

While ignore (not ignore list)+turn off local chat are what I always do, you can still (unless I'm mistaken) click on their name, copy it from the pm box and paste it into your ignore list. I know it definitely works for normal names without foreign characters.

So, basically, there's no real reason to not implement it, and a few minor reasons why it would be a good thing to add. That leads me to...

Hm... it's true... there's the whispering issue...

They should add an easier way to copy, paste names or whisper to other characters... something like changing the trade button into an Interact button.

Click, and a menu shows:
- Trade
- Invite (if you are the party leader)
- Kick (if you are the party leader)
- Make leader (if you are the party leader)
- Move down in party list (if you are the party leader)
- Move up in party list (if you are the party leader)
- Whisper
- Add to buddy list.
- Ignore

With that, no more 'I can't whisper to that name'.

It's just a totally unnecessary feature to be honest. The only reason I can think of is expat Asians buying games in Western Countries, but in the grand scheme of things being able, or not able to use Asian characters is pretty minor.

I'm sure there's other languages that can't be used. Hebrew, arabic, russian alphabet (although I may be wrong on that one...?) come immediately to mind. Hell, I'd love to have an arabic name, it would look awesome, but what's the point given that it's not my first language and would mean very little to me personally.

You're on to something here. You should make a new thread for this. No more kicking people just to rearrange the group order or switch group leaders.

Also, I don't think the OP means World of Warcraft when he says "WOW". I think he's just adding emphasis.
